Deleting your CardPin account

You can delete your CardPin account whenever you want. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
Option 1: in the app (recommended)
- Open CardPin and go to Settings
- Choose Delete account
- The screen lists what will be removed. Confirm, then enter your password (or re-authenticate with Apple or Google)
- Submit
All your devices are signed out immediately, and your username is released for anyone else to take straight away.
A suspended account can be deleted the same way.
Option 2: without the app
If you have already removed the app, changed phone, or cannot sign in for any reason, email:
Please include:
- "Account deletion request" as the subject
- Send it from the email address you registered with — that is how we confirm it is you
- Your CardPin username, if you remember it
We reply and complete the deletion within 7 working days of receiving the request. If we cannot confirm your identity from the sending address, we will write back and ask rather than delete anything.
What happens after deletion
Removed immediately
- Sign-in on every device (you are signed out everywhere)
- Your username, released at once for someone else to register
Permanently removed within 24 hours
- Every card you posted on your own, including the photo, text and capture coordinates
- Your saves, hearts and view records
- Your hidden-card and language preferences
- Account data: email address, password hash, terms acceptance record, third-party sign-in links
- In-app notices you received
What is kept

Just want to remove a few cards?
You do not need to delete your account. Open the card in the app and delete it; the photo and text are permanently removed within 24 hours.
Deleting within 2 minutes of posting is a "withdraw" and also resets your cooldown. After 2 minutes the card can still be deleted, but the cooldown is not reset.
A shared card cannot be deleted by one participant alone. You can "leave" it, which removes only you, or request a withdrawal, which deletes the card once every participant agrees.
